So many people seem to think that the Shot gun is the gun of choice. Why? Cheney shot someone in the face with one and he lived! Their range and accuracy is also lacking, making a headshot less then likely. Why would it affect a zombie so much more?

I would like to know the best weapon and put an end to all the people who think they know best for weapons and know for sure.

I would also be interested in melee weapons. Popular fiction portrays the chainsaw as a modern lightsaber but would it really slice through flesh and bone like a hot knife through butter?


Zombie Invasion problems as well.

Ruger 10/22's are readily available and can be easily modified to have a higher rate of fire. But would .22 shells do the damage necessary?

positive- .22 shells are common ammunition making it easy to find and carry around.

I think this would make an excellent episode.

Where were you planning to get your supply of zombies for testing, bearing in mind that they are fictional entities.

i dont no bout any 1 els but my favriot wep is da flame thrower or the M40! good for eliminatin enemy forces

take a dummy and mount it as sturdily as possible on top of a RC car, then have a few cheat sensors attached to the head and legs, if the legs break the speed is halved, if the head is out the car turns of entirely.

this should be relatively easy and cheap to make/repair roughly 100$ a zombie(unless you get to the flamethrower so do that last), guess you'll need about 30.

last just get a couple of kids to control the cars and your "fictional entities" are set to go hunt for brains!

now for testing i suggest you first pick a location (mall or hardware store)

then make weapons out of anything in that location (with duck-tape), and start testing.

the best weapon is the one that gives you the most kills/survival time. you die when a zombie bumbs into you.

cheney was shooting small birds, so he probably had birdshot loaded, which is great for taking down fast, small, soft birdies.
if i were popping zombies with a shotgun, id go with 00 buckshot, much more effective on brain matter.

though a shotgun isnt the ideal zombie defense weapon. i would go with a semi automatic rifle, an SLR or similar, good range, decent power and high accuracy, also nice and long so you can have a bayonet and not worry about getting bitten whilst using it.

anything more than semi auto is going to be a aste of ammo if only headshots count.
