The aquifer located in West Kansas and other
states. If you look at the map of the aquifer,
you will see the part of it jutes out and
follows the Arkansas river east past Dodge City.
The town I grew up, back in the 70's had a
under flow problem, so much the city would not
allow you to build a basement under a house.
My father new of a hole in the ground between
Kinsley and Dodge City, not far from the river.
The owner of the land dropped a heavy weight on
a rope and it went down some hundred feet, well
they think it did, or it got caught in a under
ground stream and was pulled sideways.
Any body adventurous and would want to dive it
or send an underwater mini sub.

The aquifer back in the early 80's had dropped
a lot, can not remember how far. Would it leave
an empty cavern? What if this hole happens to
be an access way in.
