No food, no shelter, no fresh water - one man is alone in the wild for seven days with only his wits and stamina to sustain him.

Each episode of Survivorman finds survival expert Les Stroud abandoned in a remote location with little more than the clothes on his back and 50lbs of camera gear. In the third series of Survivorman, Les travels the world and sets up real-world scenarios in which he must survive.

Starts Tuesday 6 January at 9pm

Who's the survivorest? If Bear Grylls and Les Stroud were marooned on an island who'd last longest?

Ray Mears would probably have landed there and eaten everything already. Of course if they could catch the wild Mears they could both feast for weeks

The Mears is a wily creature, he'd go to ground before ever being caught

Please stop broadcasting these horrible "shows" in which people dare to do so much in front of a camera. Who wants to see these idiots? Don't they have anything better to do?
Find a job and let us look at interesting programs on the Discovery Channel.

Just shut up about that on other posts,
your spamming one point into all the threads.
keep it on your own thread.
this thread is for people who like the first person to post and the second.
They don't hate this show or even say it should go.
You cant have everything your way.
I agree with your thread saying their are some horrible shows but you say they are all bad, not that many people will say they are ALL bad like you would. I like this born survivor show, i find it interesting and it teaches you how to survive incase you do get stuck in those places.
Even though he eats raw meat it's interesting to see what he is going to do next to survive.
its alright to say your oppinion but you can't just spam it to every thread thinking everyone is going to agree with you.
I don't agree that ALL discovery channel shows are bad. If you do stop watching it then because NO ONE will agree that ALL discovery channel shows are bad.

So, because the first poster likes the show I also have to like it? Do you have any idea what a forum is all about? It's about discussing certain subjects. If I can not vent my personal opinion then this forum should better be closed. Just because my opinion is not yours, I have to stop? Who died and made you king?
I simply hate all the programs the Discovery Channel is broadcasting during the last months, in which some "super guy" shows all the things he dares to do, shows where (sorry for the word) idiots who can't even talk properly (re)build cars or bikes.
The Discovery Channel used to be a station where you could watch great documentaries about all kinds of subjects. Today it is a trash station with egomaniacs in front of the camera. People who really like to see and hear themselves.
Well, you don't have to respond anymore since it is over and out for me with this station and this forum. I remove it from the TV's memory so I can never watch it again, not even by accident when I zap. It simply is not worthwhile anymore.

so people...let`s get real here!!!
This Les guy does absolutely NOTHING related to surviving techniques
I`d propose for his next show to lock him up in a closet ,cause it`s the same darn thing he does in each episode ,he just shows us how he can "survive" a few days without eating. He doesn`t know how to use anything around him cause he never knows wheter something is good or not to eat,and surprise...he always seems to be so darn lucky carrying just the right things along..like a tent,SLEEPINGBAG,etc...
oh,and poor guy...they should consider finding some suicidal wild animals for his show, cause he can never seem to be able to trap anything. I must always laugh so hard at his show , he just keeps amazing me with the most stupidest ideas trying to look so interesting .I really don`t intend in directly offending him ,maybe he`s only the show guy and someone else prepares the "scripts",but bottomline is...this show is a mockery and a monument of stupidity.
if you really want to learn ANYTHING about survival watch Bear Grylls, don`t waste your time with bull.
